These terms apply to the Shiftvilo Android app and the shiftvilo.com website.
1. What Shiftvilo is
Shiftvilo is a scheduling, reminder, sleep-planning and meal-planning aid for shift workers. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, sleep, dietary or employment advice. Suggested sleep and nutrition messages are general wellness suggestions, not guarantees.
2. Licence and acceptable use
You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for lawful purposes. Do not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it, interfere with other users or services, reverse-engineer paid entitlement controls, or use it in violation of applicable law or the rights of others.
3. Free features
Shift rotation, custom schedules, one to eight shifts, alarms, snooze, calendar, sleep planning, meal reminders, weekly overrides, DND functionality, offline operation and local backup and restore remain free. Premium does not unlock additional scheduling features and does not restrict core functionality.
4. Advertising
The free app may show small adaptive banner advertisements in Dashboard, Calendar and Settings. Ads are never shown on the alarm screen, during snooze or dismiss actions, in wake confirmation, in critical permission dialogs, or on the Premium purchase screen. Advertising consent is handled by Google UMP where required.
5. Premium purchases
Optional Premium removes advertisements only. Premium is offered as a monthly auto-renewing subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. Product identifiers are shiftguard_premium_monthly and shiftguard_premium_lifetime. The price, currency and tax shown by Google Play at checkout are authoritative.
- Monthly subscription: renews automatically each month through Google Play until cancelled. Cancel any time in Google Play. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Lifetime purchase: a one-time payment. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- Restore purchases: restores an active entitlement from your Google Play account. Premium is not restored from a Shiftvilo backup.
- Refunds and payment disputes: handled by Google Play under Google’s terms. Shiftvilo does not process card data.
6. Alarms and reliability
Alarms and reminders depend on Android, device permissions, battery optimization, manufacturer behavior and local scheduling. Shiftvilo cannot guarantee delivery on every device or in every power state. Do not rely on Shiftvilo as the only wake-up method for safety-critical work. Test alarms on your physical device, including the locked screen, DND behavior and after reboot. Keep the device’s normal alarm available as a backup.
7. Your data and backups
You are responsible for the schedules, overrides, alarms and sleep records you enter. They are stored locally. Uninstalling the app may delete local data. Export an important schedule if you need a backup. See the privacy policy for details.
8. Availability and changes
Features may change, be suspended or be removed. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest revision.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Shiftvilo is provided “as is” without warranties. Shiftvilo is not liable for missed shifts, late arrivals, sleep loss or other consequences arising from alarm delivery, device restrictions or inaccurate schedule entry. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
